Rose Trivia
Written by De Flower Shop
In Greek legend, the rose was created by the Greek goddess of flowers, Chloris. Chloris found a lifeless seed of a nymph in the woods one day and brought it to her fellow god and goddess for help. The seed was given beauty by the Aphrodite, the goddess of love; sweet scent given by Dionysus, the god of wine; charm, brightness and joy by the three Graces. Zephyr, the West Wind then blew away the clouds so that Apollo, the sun god, could shine and made the seed bloom. The Rose was born and was immediately crowned the Queen of Flowers.
